book out I tried to win it on Goodreads and then forgot about it Yesterday I came across it again and got is thinking I might pick up a few tips I ve been looking to change up my current plan but wasn t sure what I could do that would work with my lifestyle Opening this book was the first step in finding the answers I needed For almost a year I ve been hearing up decreased length workouts with higher intensity ar I ve always been a fan of Jackie Warner, so I was excited when I saw she had a book out I tried to win it on Goodreads and then forgot about it Yesterday I came across it again and got is thinking I might pick up a few tips I ve been looking to change up my current plan but wasn t sure what I could do that would work with my lifestyle Opening this book was the first step in finding the answers I needed For almost a year I ve been hearing up decreased length workouts with higher intensity are so much better than long durations I ve also been struggling with finding a weight training program that works for me and Jackie outlines one that I think will be challenging but doable The food plan she gives you is great because it is easy to maintain and similar to the way I already eat Lastly, I love the way she explains things so well The list of supplements was exactly what I was hoping to find I also thought that the information on hormones and metaphysics was relevant and interesting I ll try to post a f u to my progress in a couple of weeks Sooo EXCITED to get going, thanks Jackie I decided to read this book, despite it s horrible title, because I have a secret love for Jackie Warner I have really been enjoying her workout DVDs so I thought I would check out this book to see what she had to say.It amazed me that she introduced some theories on weight that I have just started learning about through my naturopath for example, how hormones help regulate our weight among many, many other things There were some really good ideas in this book and I love that Jackie advoca I decided to read this book, despite it s horrible title, because I have a secret love for Jackie Warner I have really been enjoying her workout DVDs so I thought I would check out I know plenty of reasons to eat organically, but I didn t know or didn t remember that one While Warner has quite a few good ideas her metaphysique is an important lesson for anyone trying to lose weight , I m not sure her nutrition tips are as strong I really would like to have seenof an academic approach to her reasons behind hormone balance and detox foods, but the reference list was lacking for some of the hefty claims she was making She made me accept some changes I have to make and reinforced others I ve made since I started my personal weight loss journey 60 pounds g While Warner has quite a few good ideas her metaphysique is an important lesson for anyone trying to lose weight , I m not sure her nutrition tips are as strong I really would like to have seenof an academic approach was saying At the heart of the book is a message of clean eating and intense living, which I think anyone can get behind and get results, but there was nothing truly eye opening in this book The book was just common sense, and if you follow a lifestyle change plan like Weight Watchers or SparkPeople you are doing a lot of the groundbreaking work she preaches The fitness section was much stronger, but again, if you are just starting out or need some variety, it could be good, but otherwise there was nothing earth shattering here If you need a first step to lose weight, this book can be an easy read and jumping off point I m not sure I personally would find this program sustainable in my life, but it could be a good first point If you are looking for help in breaking plateaus or scientific reasoning for nutrition, look elsewhere You will be wiser and healthier with little effort if you read this book I am so happy to have won a copy of this book on Goodreads swap, just so I can tell my friends what a great tool this can be to living a healthier and happier life This book is so easy to read with no you boring difficult scientific jargon to read through ANYONE, whether you lead a ridiculously hectic lifestyle or not, will be able to take the knowledge from this book and apply it to your life You don t need to spend ton You will be wiser and healthier with little effort if you to your life You don t need to spend tons of money on expensive supplements, or hours and hours cooking healthy meals in your kitchen, or hours working out This book has it all easy to follow information and advice, easy example recipes and meal plans, and tons of example workout moves that require a pair of dumbells or no equipment.To sum it up, this book is a tool that contains tons of information on how very simple lifestyle changes made with little to no effort, will result in you living a much healthier and probably happier lifestyle I am already going back and referencing the end of the book, Jackie speaks out to you as a friend, one on one, and totally gets it The first few chapters are about toxins, chemical balances, hormone balances, and etc It makes sense that if your body chemicals aren t balanced, your either going to lose a little bit or your going to gain Fluctuate Yeah, that s me She then goes on to explain what foods you can eat that will balance those chemicals And they aren t expensive hard to get foods either You probably have them at home right now There is a huge chapter on sugar Sugar is bad, but we already knew that But you will be amazed of all the foods sugar is in Did you know that the average adult intakes about 30 tbs of sugar a day Crazy And she lists all the different names for sugar that you will find on an ingredient list, which is very helpful.Jackie starts you off for two weeks eating what you are right now I know, crazy right But there s a small trick While your eating what you want those two weeks, you have to incorporatefood in your diet She lists a few things you have to eat everyday for 2 weeks while your eating what you want Her reasoning is to get your body chemicals balanced.Then, after those 2 weeks, you switch over to a menu plan You knew that was coming didn t you But by following this menu plan for five days, you then get to eat what you want twice on the weekends There s also an exercise program, of course But instead of all those lengthy work outs, you work out 20 minutes a day for five days, a really intense cardio program that will soon have those inches coming off and you ll be looking and feeling your best This is a very readable diet book that includes everything one needs to get started on their own personal fitness journey Jackie Warner owns a gym Sky Sport and Spa and she and her team of personal trainers offer classes and programs to help people change their eating and exercise habits and transform their bodies Jackie includes a little bit of science how hormones,
